It’s like a welcome party for the next season. Children and adults jump above the fire three times and say ”Αύγουστος-Παραύγουστος με σύκα, με καρύδια και με κόκκινα σταφύλια”, which means ”August-Αugust with figs, walnuts, and red grapes”.
It says that, if you will jump on July 31st, you’re gonna have good health.

Also, Thassos contains nightclubs especially with Greek music and generally places with a lot of traditional dances.

Every island has attractions, but its own history.
Some of the most popular sights on Thassos, are Metalia beach, which is used to be a workshop for minerals reserves.
It is located in Limenaria. The village’s most popular attraction is Palataki and it used to be Germany’s offices to manage the findings of the minerals resources.
You can also visit Waterfalls of Potamia, Costis Pottery, Archaeological Site of Aliki and Tarsanas.
